The reality is that about 95% of dogs and cats will need some sort of veterinary treatment or correction as result of dental disease. In other words, the odds are that more than 9 out of 10 dogs and cats will end up at a veterinarian if proper dental care measures are not enforced. However, it is estimated that fewer than 10% of owners brush their pet’s teeth.
